* Actual needs. It's a good idea to have a list of what is needed before shopping. This means number of desks, chairs, credenzas and so on. Also, pay attention to specialty needs your business might have such as drafting tables, ergonomic keyboard holders and so on.
* Size constraints. An 8-foot desk in a 10-foot office could present a problem. Know your measurements and what's needed before heading out.

When looking at used furniture options, keep your budget, design scheme and actual needs in mind. Check the furniture over, if possible, for dings or dents. If appearances count, be picky. There are lots of options when it comes to used office furniture.
