If the first medication that appeared, called the classic antipsychotics, have many side effects, the new generation of antipsychotics have fewer side effects and treat well the symptoms. Patients with schizophrenia under a right treatment can live in present almost a normal life.

What happens to people with schizophrenia

In present people with schizophrenia need no more to be treated in special hospitals, but they must respect the treatment that are given, otherwise the ill can develop and the symptoms are very annoying.
