Curved Penis Cures and Remedies

Peyronie's disease is a condition in which a plaque (a thickened, hardened piece of tissue) forms on one side of the penis. If the plaque becomes large enough, it reduces flexibility of the penis. During erection, the less-flexible part of the penis expands to a lesser extent, causing the penis to bend. Pain may occur as well. Severe curvature of the penis can make intercourse difficult or even impossible.

The cause of Peyronies disease is unknown, but it may involve injury to the penis that causes local bleeding, which in turn leads to the formation of fibrous tissue. However, the vast majority of cases occur without any obvious preceding injury.

People with Peyronies disease may have a generalized tendency to form fibrous tissue, as shown by a higher-than-average incidence of Dupuytrens contracture (a condition in which fibrous tissue develops in the hands among men with Peyronies). The condition also appears to be partially heritable.

Peyronie's disease can become a source of mental and emotional stress for you and your partner. Having the disease shouldn't be seen as a reflection on your health, virility or masculinity. If you have Peyronie's disease that has progressed to include erectile dysfunction, remember that your partner may see your inability to have intercourse as a sign of diminished sexual desire. Your reassurance that this isn't the case can help your relationship.

Treatment of Peyronies disease consists first and foremost of watchful waiting. In many cases, the disease never becomes severe enough to cause serious difficulty. Pain on erection generally decreases with time, and in some cases the extent of curvature also decreases.

When the condition is too severe to ignore, there are a variety of methods that may be tried. Treatments for a curved penis range from topical vitamin E to surgery and anything in-between. None of these treatments have been proven to be effective, except for surgery. Unfortunately surgery can be more dangerous than the disease itself C it can lead to further scarring of the penile tissue, shortening of the penis, erectile dysfunction etc.

Straightening of curved penises need not be so aggressive. Because doctors have to play by the ear when they deal with Peyronie's disease, one of the best things you can do is to try to correct the problem naturally, by exercising you penis. Even if it sounds hard to believe that there could be such an easy solution to your problems, the truth is you can fix a curved penis yourself.

The beauty of these routines is that you can exercise even if you are not diagnosed with Peyronie's disease. If you are unhappy with the shape of your penis you can work it little by little to straighten it in the right direction.

Penis exercises are not explicitly aimed at modifying the shape of your penis. They were developed to help people with much bigger problems: exercises can help you increase the length and girth of your penis and gain control over your erection and ejaculation. They were proved useful time and again in many forms of erectile dysfunctions. Fixing a curved penis is just an added bonus of an effective penis exercises program.
