Time To Get The Job You Love!
Careers:
Getting a job you love is much more than just a dream. With focus, you can personally take action to achieve the job you love rather than living a workplace nightmare.
For most people, those who are motivated to action, getting the job they love is not out of reach. It requires attention to detail and a full-on action plan that can take weeks, months or even years, depending on the individual's needs and motivation.
Getting a clearly described goal for your future is the first step in achieving what you want. Without it, you will not be able to get a clear step-by-step approach to how to get there. The written plan of the gradual steps you take will include all those actions plus a review of needed resources to enable you.
Written goals are much more compelling than those stored in your head. Its as though the physical act of writing (especially long-hand), generates a greater commitment. The steps identified can then be timescaled, adding another layer to the likelihood of the outcome you are looking for.
Once you have your list of goals, create your resume. If you already have a resume, make sure it is current and relevant to the job you want. Use careful wording on your resume that will impress prospective employers but is still truthful.
Lying on your resume will only prove to create more problems for yourself, so make sure you provide only accurate information. trust me - it isn't going to work!
Many employers, especially in larger companies, will often check references and past jobs to be sure you have the qualifications you describe on your resume. If you provide false or inaccurate information, getting the job you love will only be a lot less likely.
A resume is only half of the package when applying for a job and a cover letter provides a more detailed and in-depth look into the person who prepared it, as well as the fitness for the job in question. So, your cover letter should include relevant information presented in a professional and unique way so that prospective employers will remember you.
But take care not to stray too far from the typical structure and language of a normal cover letter, or it will be detrimental to your goal of getting the job you love. Finding a happy medium will help you be remembered while still showing that you are taking the job search venture seriously.
You can get the job you love. Understandably, you will have to overcome hurdles along the way, but with focus and motivation you can overcome these problems.
Following these steps will get you well on your way to getting the job you love. Your dream job!
